Schooling

Hello, I'm not sure what or how to write the stuff in my head right now; which means that I will be winging most of my blog until I get the hang of it. This blog is a bit of a learning experience on its own. So bear with me while I struggle to find my voice on this platform. It should be fun for all involved. That being said let's get this thing started.

I decided to go back to school in August 2020. When I started I was not exactly sure what I wanted to learn, let me clarify I knew that IT is what I wanted to learn just not that the school offered IT classes. The first major I started was just in general education. I figured that starting with all of my pre-requisite classes would allow me to figure it out. In the first semester, I was thinking that Business Management would be a good start. I completed one full semester of Business Management carrying a GPA of 3. It was good, but I needed more so I looked at the course catalog again and saw there was a Business Management with a focus on Cyber Security offered at EGCC. I promptly switched and officially started my IT journey.

Now the Business Management focus on Cyber Security course was right up my alley. I was looking forward to class every week and completing assignments on time, something that thirty years earlier in high school was not only a dream but assignments rarely made it to the teacher at all; this was a huge accomplishment for me. While taking the core classes I would throw one of the Cyber Security. It took me two semesters to complete the Cyber Security portion of the plan bringing me to the 2021-2022 year. I had completed the Cyber Security Certificate and needed more IT courses. I once again changed my major to the classes I wanted: Information Technology Associates of Technical Studies. YES! I had finally found the right field for me.

I think that I will end my writing for the day right here. I will take the time to write about each IT course that I have taken so far on my journey.
